The status quo
You already know this list.
Twelve rushed minutes with a doctor watching the screen, not you. A typical primary care panel runs past two thousand patients. Yours doesn't have time to know you.
You message the portal about something that worries you. Days later, a stranger replies.
“Your labs are normal. See you next year.” The system is built for disease: treating it, and at best catching it earlier. Your health is nobody's job.
New research takes about seventeen years, on average, to become standard practice. The care most offices deliver today is yesterday's science.
A bill for every visit, a charge for every test, and no idea what anything costs until it arrives.
That is why I built this practice.Real medicine, the old-fashioned way.
Unhurried visits and house calls, my direct number, transparency in everything, and care that stays up to date with the latest science.
Meet the Physician
Third-generation physician. First to practice this way.

Hi. I’m Daniel Tagge, a husband and father. I trained at MUSC, completed my residency at Carolinas Medical Center, and spent years inside the conventional system treating illness. What I could not get used to was never having the time to have the conversation that would have actually helped.
So I left to build the practice I believe medicine has to become: built on health instead of disease, measured down to your cells and your microbiome, and deliberately human.

“The work he does is a different category of medicine. If you're tired of being told everything looks fine, or you know your health could be better, start here.”
Matt V.Optometrist, practice founderWays to begin
I built this practice on one rule:your care never leaves my hands.
However you begin, you are working with me. Truly concierge.
01
A private consultation
Start for free: request a call and we begin the conversation about improving your health. When we meet, at your home or virtually, it will be the most thorough consultation you have ever had. You leave with clarity, direction, and a plan.
Tell me what's going on02
The Deep Dive
A comprehensive assessment of your current health: metabolism, hormones, nutrients, and gut. Two home visits, every result explained in plain English, and a written plan covering the lifestyle, supplements, and medications that support your health.

Membership
My full practice. One physician, house calls, your testing interpreted personally, and a plan built and rebuilt as your biochemistry changes. Availability is limited, because one doctor can only care for so many patients exceptionally well.

Where longevity medicine fits in
Shifting medicine’s focus from disease to health.
Medicine has no definition of health, no framework for it, and no method for producing it. I built my practice on all three. Health here is a measurable state, not the absence of a diagnosis: measured, corrected, and measured again to prove it moved. Aging, inflammation, and disease travel the same three stages, and I work at stage one, where imbalances in your metabolism are detectable and correctable.
01
Metabolism
Before they are called disease, imbalance starts here: hormones drifting, nutrients depleting, inflammation smoldering. You feel it as fatigue, fog, and weight that won't move. Most labs still read “normal.” This is why I use metabolomics.
Where I work
02
Damage
Left alone, imbalance does structural work: arteries stiffen, muscle and bone thin, mitochondria fall behind, cells stop clearing what they should. No name for it yet, and nothing on a standard panel. Still largely reversible, if anyone is looking.
Where I work
03
Pathology
Now it has a name: insulin resistance, then diabetes. Plaque, then a heart attack. This is where insurance medicine finally begins, decades after the chemistry went wrong.

My promise to you
The Fire Your Doctor Guarantee.
If you are ever less than thrilled with your care, tell me and I will return my fee. The only part I keep is the cost of testing already performed, because that money has already gone to the lab. And I will ask one question, which you are free to ignore: what could I have done better?

Questions
Common questions.
A conversation, nothing more: a chance for us to meet. Complimentary. You'll learn how I practice and which level of care actually fits you, and you're welcome to tell me what's going on with your health; I'll listen. If I can't serve your needs, I'll say so and refer you where I think is best.
The horizon
However much life you have left, spend it at full strength.
Whether you are forty and want to stay ahead of it, or seventy and want the next twenty years to be good ones, the picture is the same: energy that lasts the day, numbers trending the right way, and a doctor who answers when you call. Some things shift in weeks and the deeper work takes years. The only version that fails is the one that starts too late.
