The Physician
I left conventional medicine. This is why.
I’m a third-generation physician. I trained at MUSC and completed my residency at Carolinas Medical Center. I spent years inside the conventional system trying to make it work before finally leaving to build a practice oriented around health, not disease.
I’m board-certified in family medicine and fully certified in Health Optimization Medicine, the only clinical framework built around a definition of health.

Concierge medicine is better access to your provider and the conventional system. This is different. You have direct access to me, but I'm delivering a categorically different type of care. Think of me as your health optimization concierge.
No. Functional medicine looks for the root cause of your disease. Health Optimization Medicine looks for the root cause of your health. Same tools, different foundation.
No. We do not provide primary care or urgent care services. We recommend you maintain a relationship with a primary care provider. I'm happy to communicate with that provider directly and give you documentation of our work and recommendations to share with them.
No. My fees are cash-pay, which means I work for you, not a payer. Labs and prescriptions may be covered by your insurance plan depending on your benefits. I provide superbills for you to submit toward your deductible.
Yes. I'm a board-certified family physician with full prescribing authority.
Yes. Recent labs are a great starting point. Your health is a function of everything, what you eat, what you're exposed to, how you sleep, how you move, your stress, your history. I want all of it. The patterns are where the work happens.
