Who this is for

For people who want to improve, not just manage.

  • Your labs read normal, but you want optimal.
  • You track your biology, and you want a physician who can synthesize the data.
  • You want a physician who specializes in health, not a wellness brand.
  • You want to detect what standard care misses, before it becomes a diagnosis.

Standard labs diagnose illness.

I ask how well your biology works.

I read every number against optimal ranges.

How it works

Three ways in, same doc.

Most people start with testing or a program, and continue into an ongoing partnership if they feel called.

Meet the Physician

Trained in disease. Practicing for health.

Daniel Tagge, MD, founding physician of Tagge Precision Health

Hi. I’m Daniel Tagge. A husband, father, and third-generation physician. I trained at MUSC and completed my residency at Carolinas Medical Center. I spent years inside the conventional system trying to make it work before finally leaving to build a practice oriented around health, not disease.

I’m board-certified in family medicine and fully certified in Health Optimization Medicine, the only clinical framework built around a definition of health.

From patients

What patients say.

I'm an optometrist who built and sold a practice. I know what good medicine looks like and I know what it costs to deliver it. I came to Daniel after trying everything. He found bottlenecks in my metabolism that nobody had even looked for. The work he does is a different category of medicine. If you're tired of being told everything looks fine, or you know your health could be better, start here.

Dr. Tagge takes a different approach to the health system that is tailored specifically to the individual and does not group you with the masses based on standard data. He evaluates your metrics and creates a health plan that is just for you.

Dr Tagge was fantastic. He was approachable and professional, answering questions and outlining a plan- all while truly, actively listening. I didn't expect the level of care that he provided, but I'm confident in his assessment and the plan we have moving forward towards better health!

Questions

Common questions.

A physician practice built on Health Optimization Medicine, the clinical framework Dr. Tagge is certified in. The job is to read your biology against optimal ranges, find what is holding back how you feel and perform, and build a plan to move it.

No. Functional medicine looks for the root cause of your disease. Health Optimization Medicine looks for the root cause of your health. Same tools, different foundation.

Yes, and keeping one is recommended. Your primary care physician handles sick care, acute issues, and the things insurance covers. This practice is a specialist in health that works alongside that, not a replacement for it. The work is done by telehealth.

Start free with a Health Optimization Plan, a short assessment that shows where to focus. From there you choose the depth: a single testing panel, a focused program, or a membership for ongoing care. The Partnership membership is $150 a month, and every lab is billed at cost with no markup.

This is a cash-pay practice. HSA and FSA cards are accepted. Labs and prescriptions may be covered by your plan, and superbills are provided on request for submission toward your deductible.

For clinical care, yes. Dr. Tagge is licensed in North Carolina, so testing, programs, and membership are for North Carolina residents. The Precision Health Report and the free Health Optimization Plan are open to anyone.

The horizon

Health is a long game.

This medical practice is built around your health. It rests on two beliefs. Medicine should be driven by your data. The relationship between physician and patient is where real change happens.

Some things in your biology shift fast. Energy, sleep, inflammation can move in weeks when you pull the right levers. The deeper work, your muscle, mitochondria, microbiome, resilience, takes years to build. The relationship that supports it has to last just as long.

Healthspan is the goal.
Longevity is its echo.
